HEY ALL YALL!
I'm up early... can't believe it. Feels good though. There are certain hours of the morning where you feel like you can really take on the day. Like it's all yours.. And then there are the hours that just seem offensive. That's usually like 11am or noon. Where it's like, really!? My day is half over and all I've got to show for it is this drool on my pillow. So needless to say, I'm feeling pretty good about seizing the day today. Think I'm gonna hang with my mom. It's been a while! She rules.
Last night, the guys all had dinner at the Cavallo's house and I hung out with a bunch of friends at a Mafia party (if you've never played Mafia, check it out... it's so intense!) This is the first time all tour I haven't seen the dudes for a few days straight. Which might be good? Sometimes it's good to get away for a breathe or two. (Ever had roommates?) But anyways, I'm used to seeing them all day every day and I'm ready to for some hang time. Tonight starts our last few shows in Irvine and we're an array of mixed emotions. We made a lot of new friends on the No Doubt tour. Not to mention, it's the biggest thing we've ever done since we started touring... so the fact it's coming to an end is pretty sad. Thank God for the internet! :/ Or else we'd all be snail mailing each other.
You know what else? This tour has really given me a strong faith in the fact that I too can have rock solid ridiculous abs. If I work out every single day for the rest of my life. With a trainer that busts my ballzzz every morning, afternoon, and night. I say all this to point out the fact that Gwen is truly an inspiring woman. Hard worker. As a fellow "frontman"... I feel really blessed to have gotten to perform alongside her. This tour has got me convinced that No Doubt are some of the best entertainers in the whoooole game. Every single one of them is crucial. I think our band could be like that. Opening up for them every night has stirred up the comparisons that we knew would come and I know that at this point, we're completely alright with that! Who wouldn't want to be compared to a band like theirs? There are obvious differences. Our music sounds nothing alike. Plus, guys... my hair is red... duh. Geez. But really, I've never felt so motivated to want to take on the world. Thanks to this tour and thanks to ND.
Next week, we'll be heading back to Japan for the 3rd time! We've never played a Japanese fest before... Can't wait. Although, I'm pretty bummed we're not on the same day as Oreska Band! I think it's safe to say we'll all be emptying our pockets for the fashion and the cool toys. Speaking of Japan and toys... I met the creators of Toffee dolls (the ones who made all the Harajuku dolls?) and they hooked me up with some stuff at Comic Con. Check out their dolls if you get the chance, they are scary and beautiful. Just how I like my women. Scary. & Beautiful. I'm so lame, I'm sorry. And for all the Coraline fans, I found the Comic Con exclusive Coraline doll. WEE! Along with various other cute, creepy and hilarious things to decorate around my place. Next year, I think I'll dress up and go... who could I be? We have time to figure it out.
Halloween is coming up. Gotta figure that one out too. What are you guys planning for it? Josh's costumes are always the best. How does he always look exactly like the character he's dressed up as!? Anyone remember our Wayne and Garth... Or his Edward Scissorhand last year?! Unbelievable. Anyways, Zac would probably disagree. Cause he was pretty proud of his Christmas tree costume last year. So much so that he wore it on the Billboard cover. Ok....... Zac wins.
I gotta get goin. Love you guys so much. Thanks for a great tour and for all the hangouts.

HEY TODOS USTEDES!
Estoy despierta temprano... no puedo creerlo. Se siente bien supongo. Hay algunas horas de la mañana en las cuales te sientes como si de verdad pudieras tener control sobre el dia. Como si fuera todo tuyo.. Y luego vienen las horas en las que solo se ve ofensivo. Usualmente es a eso de las 11am o medio dia. Cuand es como, "de verdad?!" Mi dia ya va por la mitad y todo lo que tengo para mostrar es baba en mi almohada. Asi que necesariamente tengo que decirlo, me siento muy bien por poder aprovechar el dia de hoy. Creo que saldre por ahi con mi madre. Tengo tiempo que no lo hago! Ella es lo maximo.
La noche pasada, los chicos fueron a cenar en la casa de Cavallo y yo sali con un grupo de amigos a Mafia (si nunca han jugando Mafia, chequenlo... es intenso!) Esta es la primera vez que visito a todos los chicos que no habia visto desde hace unos cuantos dias. Que podria ser bueno? A veces es bueno estar solo un dia o dos. (Alguna vez tubieron compañeros de cuarto?) Pero como sea, estoy acostumbrada a verlos todo el dia, todos los dias y estoy lista para salir. Esta noche empieza uno de nuestros ultimos shows cortos en Irvine y tenemos una mezcla de emociones. Hemos hecho muchos amigos durante el tour de No Doubt. Sin mencionar, que es el mas grande que jamas hallamos hecho desde que empezamos a salir de tour... asi que el hecho de que este llegando a su final es bastante triste. Gracias a Dios por el interner! :/ por lo menos podemos estar en contacto por email cada uno.
Saben que mas? Este tour me ha dado realmente una fuerte fe en el hecho de que yo tambien puedo tener solidos y riduculos habitos de rock. Trabajaria todos los dias por el resto de mi vida. Si tubiera un entrenador que me reviente las bolas todas las mañanas, tardes y noches. Digo todo esto para apuntar el hecho the que Gwen is realmente una mujer inspiradora. Trabajadora. Como una compañera "lider"... Me siento realmente bendecida por haber podido presentarme a su lado. Este tou me ha convencido de que No Doubt son unos de los mejores artistas en toooodo este juego. Cada uno de ellos es crucial (en la banda). Creo que nuestra banda puede llegar a ser asi. Ser teloneros de ellos cada noche ha sacado a la luz las comparaciones que sabiasmos que saldrian y yo se que en este punto, estamos totalmente bien con eso! Quien no quiere ser comparado con una banda como la de ellos? Hay diferencias obvias. Nuestras musicas no se parecen en nada. Ademas, chicos... mi cabello es rojo... DUH. Bromeo. Pero en serio, nunca me senti tan motivada para querer tomar el mundo. Gracias a este tour y gracias a ND.
La semana que viene, estaremos de regreso en Japon por tercere vez! Nunca antes habiamos tocado en el Fesitval Japones... No puedo esperar. Aun asi, estoy bastante mal porque no tocaremos el mismo dia que la Banda Oreska! Creo que es seguro decir que estaremos vaciando nuestros bolsillos por la ropa y los juguetes geniasles de aya. Hablado de Japon y juguetes... Conoci a los creadores de las muñecas Toffee (aquellos que hacen las muñecas Harajuku?) y me engancharon con algunas cosas en la Comic Con. Chequen sus muñecas si tienen la oportunidad, son extremadamente hermosas. Justo como me gustan mis mujeres (?). Tetrico. Y hermoso. Soy tan tarada, lo siento. Y para todos los fans de Coraline, encontre la muñeca exclusiva de Coraline en Comic Con. WEE! Junto a otras bonitas, algo aterrador podria ser? Tenemos tiempo para averiguarlo.
Halloween se acerca. Tengo que pensar en eso tambien. Que estan planeando hacer? Los trajes de Josh son siempre los mejores. Como hace para verse exactamente como el personaje del que se disfraza?! Alguien recuestra nuesto Wayne y Garth... O su Edward Manos de Tijera del año pasado?! Increible. Como sea, Zac probablemente este en desacuerdo. Ya que el estaba bastante orgulloso de su traje de arbol de Navidad del año pasado. Tanto que lo uso en la portada de la revista Billboard. Ok....... Zac gana.
Tengo que seguir. Los amo mucho chicos. Gracias por el gran tour y por todas las salidas.
